The family of popular Paxfold resident Ellen Hagger, who passed away last year, visited the scheme to gift a beautiful wooden bench in her memory. Ellen’s four nieces pictured above sitting on the bench, along with their partners visited Paxfold to have tea with Ellen’s friends and neighbours.
Ellen’s niece, Sue St Romaine said ‘It is such a lovely garden, we thought it would be a nice idea to have something here to remember her by and for others to enjoy at Paxfold.’
The sturdy seating has been placed in an area that acts as a suntrap, and from here residents can look out across the wild flower meadow and woodland. Ellen’s friend and neighbour Una Curran said, ‘I come out to sit on the bench in the sunshine and read my book.’
