75 year’s ago the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe, and people went to the streets to celebrate the arrival of peace in Europe. On Friday 8 May, the nation marks the 75th Anniversary of VE day. Unfortunately this year’s celebrations will be different due to the ongoing Covid-19 emergency. But it doesn’t stop us from marking this important day to pay tribute to our WW2 heroes whose sacrifices and courage allow us to enjoy the many freedoms we have today.
So what can you do to help mark the special milestone? Here are some things you can do at home and help us capture how our tenants are marking the 75th Anniversary.
Share your pictures: Perhaps you’re baking a special cake, painting a picture or putting bunting up in your home. We want to see these and more! We want you to share your memories and photos of what you’re up to by letting your housing manager know or you can email us your pictures at email@example.com. If youre on Twitter you can tag us on @HCHA.org using the hashtag #VEDay
Raise a toast for our heroes – take part in our photo montage for the tenant newsletter

Send your photos by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or Tag us on Twitter @HCHA.org and use the hashtag #VEDay and we’ll share these!
