Martin joined the Board in April 2020. He was born and raised in Pinner, Harrow before studying History at university. He then qualified as a solicitor and spent over 30 years in private practice in London as a corporate and transactional lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt fundraising and complex contracts.

For over 10 years he was London Managing Partner of a major national law firm before becoming European Managing Partner of a global law firm where he established 8 new offices across Europe. He has wide experience of many different aspects of business and is particularly interested in finding creative and innovative solutions to challenges. He has been a long-time supporter of a number of housing charities and believes strongly in HCHA’s mission to provide quality and affordable housing.

Martin is currently acting as Interim CEO pending the appointment of a permanent CEO.
