With Ewart House, you will enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own apartment while receiving professional care and support around the clock in a building designed to resemble a boutique hotel. A total of 47 apartments are available, including three that are specifically designed for people with mild dementia. The fact that some flats have two bedrooms makes them an ideal choice for couples whose health makes sharing a room difficult.
Most flats have their own private balcony. All flats are designed to allow wheelchairs to move easily around rooms. The flats are attractive, spacious, light, and easy to keep warm in cold weather. In addition to the thick insulation, the building is equipped with its own solar heating system.
In each apartment, a generously sized kitchen/dining room is equipped with a modern kitchen that is fully fitted. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers and surfaces that are easy to clean. There is ample storage space in each apartment.
In addition to a beautifully furnished shared lounge on every floor, there is a larger ground-floor communal lounge that opens onto landscaped gardens. There is assisted bathing facilities, and Ewart House has a parking/recharging room for motorized buggies.
Lifts serve each floor and there is a chair lift on the stairs if required. In order to accommodate tenants with mild dementia, there is a discreet pacing area, and each floor has subtle differences in colour and design to assist recognition.
Ewart House is managed on-site by two scheme managers who provide tenants with practical support for their daily needs in order to help them maintain their tenancies, independence, and health.

The communal lounge plays host to a variety of events including Bingo and craft activities to give residents the opportunity to try out something new. Several of these activities are carried out with the assistance of volunteers and our own staff.
